“Lake County Mysteries” Mystery/Horror Campaign

Since I haven’t paid for Ascendant membership yet, we only get one campaign space, so for notes on the “Lake County Mysteries” Mystery/Horror Campaign go to this page in the Wiki.

Dark Age of Dunland

It has been almost 200 years since the Empire collapsed, and things have gotten worse every year. It is time for the people of Dunland to take their destiny into their own hands and forge their own mighty future!

Expanded Page Descriptions

Setting, History, Maps, etc.

The world in which Dark Age of Dunland is set is a complex one, with multiple nations and wild areas spread out over several continents, home to even more diverse tribes and cultures of Humans, Orcs, and other folk not generally known. This world has thousands of years of history, from the dimly known Age of Legends, through the Age of Heroes and Age of Empire, to the more recent Dark Age since the fall of the Empire. This page is the index into all of this information, which the Players are welcome to peruse, although they must remember that their Player Characters will not necessarily be so well informed about their world.

Dunland itself is only a small corner of that world, one of a group of three large islands surrounded by smaller islands, the whole area less than xx miles from east to west and xx miles from north to south. The Player’s Guide to Dunland tells you what your PC really should know about his/her native land.

Rulesets, Houserules, Other Metagame Notes

The first campaign in this setting began using GURPS rules, later transitioned over to Pathfinder, and ended with some ideas from E6 and the Spirit Magic system being tested (and found not quite ready for use, yet). The current campaign began with the same mix of Pathfinder and houserules, but is moving toward a completely home-brewed E6 system.
